The Spirit Animal

The Spirit Animal

The spirit animal comes to us,

Filled with love and light

When we are broken and raw

Mending the holes in our hearts,

Putting together the missing pieces,

Sending the sadness far away.

She seems to know just what we need,

When we need it most.

Fitting into our lives with ease,

Teaching us with ancient wisdom.

And when she knows we are healed,

Knows her job is done,

The spirit animal takes her leave,

Moving on to spread more light,

To mend more broken hearts,

Always leaving a piece of her joyous spirit

Forever singing in our souls.

In memory of Lenore and Simon of Bedlam Farm, for Jon and Maria…
