The View from Here

Every day,

Every single day,

I want to live my life;

Not a shadow life,

But real, joyful, messy, life. 

No excuses, no fear,

Diving off the cliff into the unknown,

Open to wherever I land. 

I find beauty and hope,

Sorrow and heartache,

All treasures along my path,

The good and the challenge,

Symbiotic, shadow and light,

Only existing together,

Wise prophets

With messages of grace. 

I walk in gratitude,

Every day.
