Doors

She stood with her hand over the door knob,

Trembling, unsure,

Afraid to see what would greet her on the other side.

But the door’s beauty called to her soul,

Speaking in an ancient tongue,

One her mind did not comprehend,

But her heart knew well.

She took a deep breath and grasped the golden knob,

Feeling the strengrh course through her body.

She pushed with all her might, and the door swung wide,

Unimaginable beauty greeted her,

Filling her with joy and delight,

She smiled as she took the hand of fate

And began to dance,

All because she took the chance

And opened the door.
