There have been times in my life when dreams have died.
Something I believed in,
Something beautiful,
Gave my heart and soul to.
I grieved and moved on,
Laden with sadness and failure
Only to realize that I had been wrong;
Maybe dreams don’t really die?
Maybe they change paths,
Veer off course,
But they preservere- as long as we do.
Sometimes the dream isn’t right for us,
And so it appears to die,
And in our human state, we tend to panic,
Lose hope,
But if we hang on
We find that the dream just lead us to a better dream,
One that was really meant for us all along.
