Christmas lights upon my tree,
A sight I have so longed to see.
Each ornament a story,
A chapter of my life,
The memories tumbling from my heart,
Of joy, love, and strife.
You bring to me my childhood,
Love lost and found again,
The gifts that need no wrapping,
Their magic to begin.
I breathe in all the memories,
Traditions, stories, too,
And say a prayer of gratitude
For love and life and you.
