In the New Year,
I plan to embrace willful optimism,
To face life with arms and heart opened wide,
My face lifted to the sun in gratitude,
Refusing naysayers and light stealers when they invite me to dance.
Believing in my heart that the world is truly a good place filled with good and decent people.
When we sing the song of life with richly decadent harmony,
A song from the heart,
A song from the soul,
I can guarantee you,
The world will start to tap its foot
