Sleeping with dogs,
Fighting for covers,
Struggling for foot space,
Comforted by soft groans and sighs,
Snoring,
Dreaming,
Nocturnal cat chasing,
Complete with muffled barks
And running paws,
Sweet companionship,
Waking up to dogs,
Earnest morning looks,
Filled with meaning,
“Time for breakfast?”
Contagious, joy-filled,
