Morning light
Gently caresses,
The tentative touch of a new lover,
Hesitant,
Hopeful,
Joyful in discovery.
Tendrils of luminosity
Wash over the city,
Darkness transforms to light.
I watch enraptured,
Never tiring of the miracle that happens
As another new day is born again.
