There is beauty everywhere I look in Santa Fe, but of everything I’ve seen so far, this door captured my imagination and my heart. It reminded me of the ancient doors I fell in love with in Assisi and Florence on my visit to Italy with its weathered detailed carvings. I wonder about the person who carved the images, and the countless people who crossed its threshold…and what they found on the other side. Doors are portals filled with mystery and, sometimes, history.
