About

I am a musician and teacher with a passion for story-telling and photography, living in a funky historic home on the side of Red Mountain in Birmingham, Alabama. I share my life with one amazing husband, two goofy dogs, and a cat who thinks she’s a dog. Having passed the fifty milestone, I find myself on a journey of self-discovery and growth, making it a goal to spread positivity in what can sometimes be a negative world.

  1. I feel like I should know you. 🙂 I, too, am a clarinet player although I played Horn in Marching Chiefs. I was a few years behind you at FSU and as I read your letter to your friend, I was reminded of my long time friends for whom I would move heaven and earth. I will pray for your friend. She has something more precious than gold in you! I will check back often – your blog is heartwarming and familiar-feeling. Have a wonderful summer!

    1. Thank you so much for your very sweet message. I was Denise Williams at FSU. Mike Sullivan and I were joined at the hip all through our FSU days. :). I hope you have a wonderful summer, too. Go ‘Noles!

  2. Music, dogs, cat, amazing husband and positivity sounds good to me. Since you mentioned story telling, I’m here.,
